Dr. Manoj Dongare is one of the best Liver Transplant and HPB surgeons in PCMC and Pune. He has more than 16 years of experience in the field of Liver transplants, HPB Surgeries, and surgical oncology. He is currently working as a senior consultant in the Department of HPB and Liver Transplant at D.Y. Patil Medical College, Hospital & Research Centre, Pimpri, Pune. In his clinical experience, he performs adult and Paediatric Liver transplants (Living donor Liver transplants, Cadaveric Liver transplants), and liver & HPB Pancreatic cancer surgeries. Also, He has expertise in various cancer surgeries like breast, lung, Gynecological, bladder, oral, and GI cancers. He is one of the very few GI & HPB Surgical oncologists in Pune who has expertise in treating cancers.

Dr. Manoj Dongare has a Special Interest in Complex HPB Surgery, Cadaveric and Living Donar Liver Transplantation, and Surgical Oncology. He has been involved in over 600 liver Transplants, 300 Pancreatic Resections (including portal vein resections, Post chemoradiation), and 400 liver resections for colorectal metastasis and HCC’s, Extended hepatectomies +/- Vascular resections for cholangiocarcinomas, 2 stage hepatectomies, and ALPPS.

Also, he has an active research interest he has many publications in reputed national and international journals to his credit. He has presented his clinical and research work as papers and posters in many conferences around the country and abroad. Dr. Manoj Dongare has done his MBBS from BJ Medical College, Pune, and his MS (Gen Surgery) from Grant Medical College, Mumbai. He then completed his 3 years Surgical oncology Residency at Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai. He also did a 6-month fellowship in Gynecological Oncology at center Oscar Lambret, Lille, France. He then Practiced as a consultant in Surgical Oncology in Aurangabad for 5 Years. He then worked as a Fellow in HPB and Liver Transplantation at Kings College Hospital, London for a year and then spent another year at St. James Hospital, Leeds UK. He was then selected as the EHPBA Fellow and did a 2 years Fellowship in St.Vincent’s University Hospital, Dublin Ireland. He then moved to Delhi and worked as a Consultant in Liver Transplantation at Max Hospital Saket, Delhi for almost a year and now has joined D.Y. Patil Hospital as a Senior Consultant in HPB, Surgical Oncology, and Liver Transplantation.
